Since her early years of practice, residential real estate litigation and mediation have been the cornerstone of Jane’s practice. She has represented well over a thousand parties in litigated and pre-litigated residential real estate disputes, including buyers, sellers, and Realtors®.

Areas of experience include nondisclosed defects, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud/concealment, dual agency, breach of contract, rescission, concealment, breach of statutory disclosure obligations, buyer-broker agreement disputes, listing agreement disputes, commission disputes and disciplinary actions.

Jane has extensive experience representing escrow companies and related service providers in professional liability claims.

Jane serves on the mediation panels of both West Coast Resolution Group and the San Diego Association of Realtors® in these areas of conflict.

We are happy to offer risk management training to real estate brokerages of all sizes to help mitigate the risk of professional liability claims.

Employment Litigation

Jane has over three decades defending and mediating employment claims including wrongful termination/constructive termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistle blower, wage and hour violations, employee misclassification, breach of employment contract, hostile work environment, unfair business practices, and administrative complaints.

One of Jane’s favorite things to do is to help you keep from getting sued by your employees in the first place.

We consider this area of our practice to be the highest expression of our professional service to our clients. We offer our clients experienced, practical counsel in any number of risk management areas including contract review, document retention, releases and waivers of claims, pre-litigation alternative dispute resolution, arbitration agreements, wage and hour and employee classification matters.
